Sitamun

Sitamun
   1. (fl. 1525 BC)
Egyptian princess. Probably daughter of Ahmose I and Ahmose-Nefertari. She is attested in the reign of her father with the title God’s Wife and appears to have survived into the reign of her brother Amenhotep I.
   See also Ahmose-Sipair; Meritamun.
   2. (fl. 1355 BC)
Egyptian princess. Daughter of Amenhotep III and Tiy. An item of furniture inscribed with her name was found in the tomb of Yuya, Tiy’s father. She was given the title of queen on inscriptions from her father’s reign and so probably married him, but her subsequent fate is not known.
   See also Akhenaten; Baketanen.
